My STory +

Hello and welcome. My name is Natalia Ronstadt Chang (she/her). I am an Intuitive Healer trained as a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, Tibetan Usuii Reiki Master, flower remedy and vibrational essence practitioner, priestess and ceremonialist, with a private healing practice in San Jose, CA. I specialize in supporting people who are committed to their healing, transforming their trauma, anxiety, bereavement, extreme systemic depletion, and dark-night-of-the-soul experiences into gateways of expansion and self discovery, rekindling their inner light, and profound experiences of centered reconnection and wellbeing. Many of my clients are care-providers across professions, disciplines, and modalities. I am a Healer’s Healer and my work is deeply rooted in creating a safer-space where collaborative, consent-based, powerful healing and reconnection to innate magic can take place. My tools are as beautifully varied as my clients.

I began my life-long love-affair with the mysticism, healing, and energetic awareness at a young age and was introduced to the formal energetic modality of Healing Touch by my mother, a student of the early Healing Touch Program™ under Janet Mentgen (Healing Touch Program™ founder). After experiencing trauma in my teens I lost faith in my capacities as an intuitive and gifted energy sensitive, pursuing experience and education in other alternative and complimentary healing modalities instead. Years later a second devastating trauma rocked my world, leaving me shattered and unable to reassemble myself with the tools at hand. Desperate and frustrated when Western medicine failed me, I finally submitted to the insistent directives of my long-neglected intuition and sought help in a different quarter altogether; intuitive and energetic healing. That dark-night-of-the-soul experience was my sacred initiation, a life-altering home-coming on my spiral-path of self-healing, returning me to center and to my deep connection to the power within and around me. Every person has this same potential within them; to commune with the Divine, galvanize self healing, and recognize innate capacities they are unaware of or have neglected.

It is rare that someone I work with does not tap into new forms of perception during sessions. For some it is the budding awareness of their body’s patterns of manifestation or an arrival of a certainty or knowing; awareness of heat, pressure, or unique sensation in their bodies; colorful vision, shape, or form; a “sound” delivered into the mind, a scent or taste (I’ve yet to personally experience taste, but doesn’t that sound amazing?), a sense of clarity, a message… Most of us are already using our intuitive senses without realizing it and it is truly amazing what doors open for us when we give ourselves permission to trust ourselves and our knowing in its many forms.

As I continue my personal journey with healing I call upon my rich history, training, and experiences to create and hold compassionate, heart-centered space in which my client’s innate healing abilities can activate to restore, balance, and harmonize the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of the individual; promoting healing throughout the human system. I am an intuitive and skilled fascilitator, dedicated to healership and passionately empowering my clients on their self-healing journeys.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: The place I reside, raised my children, formed my community, and support people in healing is the unceeded traditional homelands of the Tamien Nation. Although we care for this land with love and reverence, my family and I have been given the privilege of thriving here through colonization, theft, and conquest. I recognize that I continue to occupy traditional tribal lands of a living peoples, and assume the responsibility of educating myself and supporting initiatives to invigorate and preserve cultural traditions, language, and restoration of tribal sovereignty. Healing Touch 

My education and training in Healing Touch have been provided through the Healing Touch Program™. I am a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner having program Levels 1-5, certification work and exam. I completed Level 1 training with Carol Kinney, Certified HTCP/I and CHTP (Lafayette, CA: January of 2015) and sought Level 2-5 training from Cynthia Hutchison, DNSc, MSN, RN, HTCP/I and former Educational Program Director for Healing Touch Program™ (Boulder, CO: October 2015, May 2016. Loveland, CO: October 2016, October 2018) and became certified in September 2019. I completed Healing Touch Advanced Practice 1 in Healing Touch techniques based in Sacred Geometry and Healing Touch Advanced Practice 2 for Advanced Trauma Release techniques, both with Cynthia Hutchison (San Diego, CA: October 2016) as well as continuing education hours in energy medicine endorsed by Healing Touch Program™, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the American Holistic Nurses Association and the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association. Healing Touch Program™ is an approved provider for continuing education for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am a member of the Healing Touch Professional Association and the Energy Medicine Professional Association.

Reiki

My initial Reiki I Attunement/Empowerment was performed by Reiki Master and healer, Jana Kilgore, in January of 2015 in order to facilitate self-care between energy healing sessions. Jana Kilgore received her training through Master Beth Townsend, a student of Master William Lee Rand (Senior Reiki Master/Teacher, Holy Fire II, President of the ICRT [International Center for Reiki Training], the Center for Reiki Research and the Reiki Membership Association) and Tibetan Usui Master Christopher Campbell. I later sought Reiki I-III Attunements/Empowerments and training from Tibetan Usui and Karuna Master Lucia Maya, another in the lineage of Rand, and received my Master Level Attunement/Empowerment in April of 2016 from Lucia Maya and Zellie Kuliaikanu’u Duvauchelle. I am a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals®.

Flower Remedies and Vibrational Plant Medicine

I used flower essences in my personal life for over 20 years before beginning my formal training in this subtle energy modality, with The Bach Centre (UK). The Bach Centre is the original program of Dr. Edward Bach and has continued his work. I am currently studying with Alaskan Essences™, one of my favorite essences makers and educators. Additional formal education in flower essences has been through study of Intuitive Plant Medicine with Asia Suler of One Willow Apothecaries (2020). Aromatherapy and lay herbalism (physical and energetic) have both been integral to my life for over 30 years, including working professionally with essential oils from 2000-2003, and I continue seeking deeper understanding both independently and through formal training from a variety of sources. Most recently my herbalism focus encompasses primarily energetic aspects of the plant medicines, although my interest in the physical capacities of our plant allies remains. I also pursue continuing education through resources presented by Michael Cottingham, Marissa Gagliardi, Mimi Kamp and Michael Moore at Wild Medicine School as well as through BotanicalMedicine.org lectures. My studies and experiences in this realm inform my work with other modalities and I occasionally work with energetically focused herbal medicine with clients, however, I do not currently offer independent herbalism services.

Workshops + Teaching

My experience guiding groups and individuals includes Basic Healing Touch techniques for self-healing, flower remedies, intuitive access, movement, natural body products and aromatherapy, ritual-crafting, personal and community altar creation and practices, natural childbirth and lactation education, and martial arts. In my current practice the majority of my teaching and workshops center around healing, intuitive, and sacred arts. Previously, I trained as a teacher of Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth® in 2003 and taught natural childbirth classes in Tucson, AZ while studying midwifery, in addition to my training as a Lactation Educator with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). I began sharing my passion for dance (creative movement, modern dance, and samba) with individuals and groups in the 1990s. After moving to California and studying other forms of dance I co-founded Persephone Dance Company™ (2009), later training with FatChanceBellyDance® (2011) to became a FCBD® Certified Studio (formerly Sister Studio) teaching FatChanceBellyDance® Style (formerly ATS) bellydance classes and workshops in San Jose, CA as well as Improvisational Tribal Style as a Persephone Dance Company member. I hold a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwon, and as such assisted in individual instruction of lower belts.

Sacred Arts

I spent my early childhood creating beautiful personal altars and rituals and first began formally seeking training in ritual, ceremony and altar building as a young teenager. At 16, I was accepted to apprentice as a Novice to a ritual group and studied under them and sister-groups until receiving 1st Degree Priestess Initiation at 18. I continued studying and crafting ritual, ceremony, and altars privately and with a dedicated ceremonial group. I received initiation as a 2nd Degree Priestess in the late 1990s. Although I no longer identify with the specific lineage into which I was ordained, I continue evolving and exploring sacred ceremonial and ritual practices, creating, co-creating, and participating in many meaningful personal and group altars, ritual items, and ceremonies for myself and at the request of others (including an annual, free, community ancestor altar for Dia de Los Muertos and a ceremonial fire practice). I work mostly within the frameworks of my ancestral lineages including Mexican, Spanish, Germanic, Celtic, English and Scottish traditions, with limited experience of some traditions carried by indigenous healers of the Amazon, Columbia and other regions of Latin America, Russia and Ukraine (which I do not lead or teach). During the challenging times surrounding SARS CoV2 (Covid-19) I created a free instructional guide on building personal ancestor altars to support the community in honoring their beloved dead. I am a fully ordained minister within the state of California and can legally perform marriage ceremonies in California and Arizona. I continue deepening my exploration of ritual and ceremonial experiences and healing, sacred spaces, and the powerful magic of intention.
